Un escargot dans le chemin

Voici mon projet synthèse, le dernier travail universitaire sur lequel j’ai consacré toutes mes énergies pour la conception de ma première bande dessinée. Pour cette occasion, j’ai utilisé mon personnage de jeunesse pour raconter de quelle manière j’ai réussi à surmonter des obstacles et ainsi à accomplir un rêve.

This is my final project from university. I created my first comic book from scratch. Redrig is a character that I created in my youth. Redrig personifies how I was able to fight my demons and make my dreams come true.

Quartier

Un avant midi comme les autres

Lorsque j’ai su le thème du collectif était Quartier, la flamme en moi du p’tit gars du centre-ville de Québec a resurgi. Je devais faire quelque chose avec mon quartier d’enfance, Saint-Roch. En plein cœur du centre-ville, je peux vous dire que j’en ai vu des choses là, héhé.

Neighbourhood

As soon as I was told that the thee for this collaboration was « Neighbourhood », I thought about my childhood in Saint-Roch, the neighbourhood where I grew up in Quebec City. I saw plenty of weird things.

Toujours là

Ma première expérience avec un collectif a tellement été agréable que j’ai décidé de participer une seconde fois et le thème était intéressant. C’est donc l’histoire d’un jeune garçon qui perd son grand-père et ne comprend pas qu’il ne le reverra plus. Jusqu’au jour, il trouvera par hasard une porte dans un champ et celle-ci l’amène dans un autre univers pour lui permettre d’avoir une dernière discussion avec son grand-père

My first experience collaboration with Le Bunker was so great that I decided to do it again. I also found the theme “parallel universes” very interesting. This is the story of a boy that loses his grandfather and doesn’t understand that they will not see each other again. Un day, he finds a door that leads him into another universe where he can have a last conversation with his grandfather

Au secondaire, je m’amusais à redessiner les aventures vécues par mes amis et moi dans nos soirées de jeux grandeur nature… alors le thème de labyrinthe me semblait intéressant pour intégrer mes quatre aventuriers grotesques préférés.

For this collective work, I wanted to try an idea from the comics that I did when I was in high school. I used to enjoy drawing the adventures that my friends and I lived during our live action role playing games. The theme maze came to be when four cranky guys save a princess in a fantastic world.

Theme Démon 
l’Avertissement

Voici ma première participation au collectif du plan B. J’étais très nerveux, car c’était ma première session a l’université et je n’étais pas très confient en mes aptitudes artistiques, cependant lorsque j’ai pris conscience du thème Démon, plusieurs idées me sont venues en tête… étant un adepte de film d’horreur (merci à mon frère ici pour m’avoir initié à ce genre)

Deux jeunes garçons sont impatients de participer à une soirée où ils vont pouvoir utiliser une tablette Ouija, mais un vieil homme va les avertir de faire bien attention avec cette tablette. Sera-t-il en mesure de les empêcher d’utiliser la planche?

Theme demon 
The Warning

This is my first collaboration within Plan B. I was very nervous about it because it was my first semester in University and I didn’t have a lot of confidence in regards to my talent. However, when I heard that the theme was Demon, a lot of ideas came to be thanks to all the horror movies I watched (my brother introduced me to the genre).

Two young boys are impatient to go to a party to be able to use their Ouija board, but an old man will warn them to be careful. Will he be able to stop them from using the board?
